Market status analysis project initiated at the request of a collaborator in a particular role and approved in early 2020 for implementation under the general criteria of the FM Observatory’s technical committee.
The project focuses on market data from Spain and Portugal.
The estimated timeline of the project is from mid-2020 to the first quarter of 2021.
The work is initially developed and published in Spanish, with the possibility of being translated into Portuguese.
The project objectives are to study the processes of outsourcing services and what surrounds the decision making for the FM sector. The intention is to facilitate decision criteria of FM management models, analysing in each of the areas and activities.
In this project we try to go beyond the stereotype that FM outsourcing is the same as the outsourcing of the provision of certain services. FM is not only provision, we analyse the outsourcing of the management, the provision, and the sum of the two concepts (F+M = FM²).
The main objectives of this study are:
- Facilitate key criteria for FM outsourcing.
- Identify and assess FM areas and main services in outsourcing.
- Differentiate outsourcing from traditional outsourcing models and FM management models.
- Reference the process within the ISO 41000 family of standards.
- Show current trends, experiences and findings.
