FMHOUSE’s Evolution Throughout the Year
2024 has been a pivotal period for the development and professionalisation of Facility Management. From training as a tool to strengthen relationships to sustainability as a strategic pillar, each article published by FMHOUSE this year reflects an innovative perspective and a commitment to the sector’s growth.
Training and Social Commitment
We began the year focusing on training to enhance the relationship between clients and providers in FM. We conducted an analysis of how specific educational programmes can improve communication and build mutual trust, contributing to more efficient management aligned with business objectives. These objectives are also closely tied to our social commitment, as FMHOUSE maintains its belief that social initiatives within companies benefit both communities and corporate reputation.
Professional Success and Recognition for Excellence with the EFR Seal
Being one of the 43 SMEs recognised with the EFR excellence seal highlights FMHOUSE’s commitment to work-life balance and corporate sustainability, emphasising the value of this balance as a marker of organisational excellence. At FMHOUSE, we understand that business evolution is closely linked to the concept of FM as a tool to drive professional development. In this sense, we are aware that, through training and leadership strategies, the importance of continuous improvement is reinforced, leading to the professional success of employees.
Importing FM and the Real Value of ISO 41001
Adopting the ISO 41001 international standard is essential for the efficient management of facilities, from proper cost control to the benefits of meeting current regulatory requirements. Likewise, we have also highlighted the growing influence of international trends in local FM, showcasing practical examples of how global best practices can be adapted to maximise their impact in different markets.
Digitalisation, Think Tank, and Strategic Future
During the latest edition of the “Think Tank”, FMHOUSE reaffirmed its commitment to sustainability in the sector, sharing key conclusions and innovative solutions discussed at the event. Speaking of innovation, the impact of technology on FM is undeniable. Digital tools such as IoT and artificial intelligence are transforming how companies manage assets and facilities. Additionally, designing a strategic approach to FM that maximises organisational value and aligns decisions with business objectives is also fundamental to securing a promising future for companies.
The Largest FM Library and the Observatory
In our commitment to highlighting the value of the discipline within businesses, we offer a reflective perspective on the challenges of positioning FM within organisations, addressing myths and realities in the sector. To support this, FMHOUSE provides the largest collection of open-access FM resources, the FM Library, with over 600 documents that facilitate access to key information and promote continuous learning about the discipline. Similarly, research and dissemination are vital, which is why we gather data and trends in sector reports compiled in the FMHOUSE Observatory.
Facing 2025 with Enthusiasm, Commitment, and Responsibility
We close 2024 with the satisfaction of having contributed knowledge about the discipline in each of our publications, reflecting FM’s transformative role in the business world. We enter 2025 filled with new opportunities, with enthusiasm and commitment, knowing that we hold the responsibility to continue actively contributing to the growth and evolution of the discipline, not only in our region but also on an international level.
