Goodbye 2023 and welcome 2024!

Goodbye 2023 and welcome 2024!

In 2023, FMHOUSE marked a year full of achievements and innovations in Facility Management.

Another year of social commitment

We started the year by reflecting on our social commitment, consolidating our participation in the United Nations Global Compact, and contributing to the charitable event XMas Tree in Madrid, supporting organizations such as the Pan y Peces Foundation and CESAL Foundation. We ended 2023 with a significant milestone by obtaining the A Excellence as a Family-Friendly Company (EFR). In this recognition, awarded by the Más Familia Foundation, our dedication to quality, professionalism, and ethics in a balanced and family-friendly work environment is highlighted.

Another year of innovation and contribution to FM

The success of the First European “Think Tank”, in collaboration with the European Space Agency, was an exciting milestone. We actively participated, addressing sustainable solutions for the A building at the ESAC headquarters, exploring the New Bauhaus and sustainability.

In the midst of the Agenda 2030 era, desdigitalization will surprise by becoming a trend. We reflected on this shift, from the resurgence of vinyl to the reintroduction of physical buttons in cars, posing crucial questions about the future adoption of digital technologies in FM.

During the past year, FMHOUSE promoted various sector events, participating in CIFMERS LATAM 2023 in Bogotá and FMtech 2023 held in Lima.

With the launch of Bidder®, we positioned ourselves as leaders in applied technology in FM contract bidding. This exclusive FMHOUSE platform is a comprehensive application backed by blockchain technology that optimizes processes, reflecting our pursuit of efficiency and transparency.

We embodied our philosophy of innovation in FM by addressing resistance to change and adopting emerging technologies, such as Bidder®, demonstrating our commitment to continuous improvement.

Another year of training

In our commitment to academic training, we highlight the launch of the International Diploma in Facility Management (DIFM), a specialized semi-presential training program in Spanish lasting 280 hours. It combines theory, practice, market cases, and face-to-face sessions in the various countries where it is offered. Undoubtedly, a unique networking opportunity for all FM professionals taking the course.

Another year of research

With the release of the Regional FM Report in Banking in collaboration with LatamFM, we analyzed the state of Facility Management in 17 Latin American countries, marking the beginning of additional studies that will be unveiled during this year 2024, and we look forward to presenting them.

2023 was a year of growth, innovation and consolidation in FM for FMHOUSE. We finish it with the satisfaction of the duty accomplished and we start 2024 with the enthusiasm and commitment to continue working to contribute to the growth of the Facility Management discipline.

You can choose between these 3 options to participate:

How to participate?

Collaborating with the Observatorio FM is a personal and voluntary decision, and there is no contractual obligation or economic retribution for it.

Any interested person can apply to participate as a leader of a new project, or apply as a collaborator in an existing one.

A technical committee will evaluate the subject matter of the proposed projects and the applications of the participants, deciding which ones are carried out and by whom.

Each person decides how much they want to dedicate, depending on their availability or type of project. The aim is for it to be an altruistic activity and not an additional workload.

What does it consist of?

To promote and publish studies that help professionals in the sector and to help others understand our profession and discipline.

The results and deliverables are shared openly, always acknowledging the contributions of all authors and contributors.

The Observatorio FM’s activity will respect the objectivity, ethics, rigour and good practices that govern our Research area.

Contributors have access to the best collaborative tools, sectoral information and contacts, as well as the assistance of expert consultants and researchers at international level.
