A few months ago, FMHOUSE joined the European Engineering Learning Innovation and Science Alliance (EELISA) programme that falls within the international cooperation framework of the FM Observatory. This project encompasses a series of activities and initiatives which we are actively involved in. Accordingly, we share the results of the think tank which has been set up in collaboration with the European Space Agency and the European Centre for Astronomy located in Madrid. This think tank is an educational exercise that seeks to promote innovation and generate new ideas, in this instance to renovate building A at the ESAC headquarters in Boadilla del Monte following sustainable practices.
The event proved to be an excellent opportunity for the students who participated both in person and virtually, to gain a global and comprehensive understanding of the spirit of New European Bauhaus and sustainability. The meeting also allowed participants to acquire greater awareness and commitment to social, economic, energy and environmental concerns, as well as to discover the potential offered by current digital trends to support and promote these issues from an efficiency perspective. The initiative took place in a creative and collaborative environment, with the involvement of some 100 international students and over 100 international lecturers, researchers and other professionals. We would like to thank all participants, most importantly, the professional collaborators.
FMHOUSE coordinated work on the “Efficient Facility Management & Building Operation” block, which is one of the subdivisions of the project, together with “Health & Wellbeing”, “Energy Efficiency”, “Comprehensive Sustainability”, and integration with the NEB (New European Bauhaus). The report with the key results can be downloaded from this link in our library. We are currently planning the next event, therefore, if you would like to participate or collaborate, please do not hesitate to contact us at instituto@fm-house.com.
